From Katlehong, east of Johannesburg, Kabelo Mokoena, professionally known as Mordecai, brings his signature sound to HUE Series. A DJ, producer and Amapiano artist, Mordecai has developed a style built around deep rhythms, melodic textures and soulful Amapiano grooves. His journey was shaped by growing up in a music-filled household and discovering Amapiano at an early age. His catalogue includes collaborations with artists and producers such as W4DE, Chley, Djy Biza, Royal Musiq, Shakes & Les and JayJayy, while releases such as Phesheya, Di Kgomo, Ngiya Gowa and Marato Fela have helped establish his sound within the contemporary Amapiano landscape. In 2026, Mordecai released MAMELLO, a 16-track album led by Marato Fela, continuing his exploration of melodic, laid-back and groove-driven Amapiano.
