GPS Said 1.2 km... We Walked 4 km in Flip-Flops to Big Buddha in Phuket 🇹🇭

What started as a short 1.2 km walk turned into a 4 km adventure in flip-flops to reach Phuket's magnificent Big Buddha. Day 3 of our Thailand adventure brought us to one of Phuket's most iconic landmarks – the Big Buddha. What was supposed to be a simple scooter ride turned into an unexpected journey. After parking the scooter, our GPS showed just 1.2 km to the statue, but the reality was closer to 4 km on foot... and in flip-flops! Along the way, we stopped to feed elephants, enjoyed the tropical scenery, and finally reached the magnificent Big Buddha towering above Phuket. The reward? Stunning panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and the powerful presence of this beautiful statue overlooking the island.
