I barely buy laundry detergent anymore — and most of my everyday laundry costs me around 10 cents a load. 🧺💙 In this video, I’m sharing the simple 3-ingredient laundry powder I use for ordinary clothes, how much I use per load, and what it actually costs to make. But I haven’t thrown modern laundry detergent out completely. There’s one thing a good modern detergent can contain that my homemade laundry powder doesn’t: enzymes. And when clothes are genuinely filthy, stained, greasy, or heavily soiled, that’s when I bring out the real detergent. Because I said I was frugal, honey. I didn’t say I wanted dirty clothes. 😉 I’m also sharing a few other ways I keep laundry costs down, including why I stopped buying fabric softener years ago, why I use reusable wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets, and a few simple habits that can save money without making laundry more complicated. Sometimes saving money isn’t about finding a cheaper product. Sometimes it’s about realizing you never needed to buy the product in the first place. If you enjoy old-fashioned wisdom, frugal living, simple homemaking, money-saving household tips, homemade cleaning recipes, and practical ways to make things last, subscribe to Granny Pearl’s Good Sense. And tell me in the comments: What’s one laundry product you stopped buying — or an old laundry trick you still swear by? I have a feeling some of you have opinions about fabric softener. 😂 That’s just good sense. Good things still work. #LaundryTips #FrugalLiving #HomemadeLaundryDetergent #MoneySavingTips #OldFashionedWisdom #Homemaking #GrannyPearl
