Gresil - Cólera [GTX042]

https://gordotrax.bandcamp.com/album/... Lucero del Alba marks the Gordo Trax debut of both Gresil and VSK, bringing two artists with a shared taste for the darker, denser edges of techno into the fold. Gresil has been steadily carving out a distinctive language of his own, with releases on labels including MORD / Kazerne, MindTrip and Concepto Hipnotico. It's precisely that character that drew us to his music: deep, shadowy and hypnotic, with an abrasive weight that never sacrifices detail or control. Lucero del Alba moves through that territory with a constant sense of pressure — dense atmospheres, raw textures and rhythms built to pull the listener further in rather than offer an easy way out. There's darkness throughout, but also space, tension and flashes of light beneath the surface. Closing the record, VSK makes his first appearance on Gordo Trax with a remix that pushes the material into his own uncompromising territory, reinforcing the original's physicality while giving it a different sense of movement and intensity. A meeting of two strong sonic identities, and another step into the deeper end of Gordo Trax. Artwork by Fausto Master by Schrzø
