Latest fixes and improvements in v0.4.1: • Arcade fighter accessories now use the original board spring behavior • Improved cloth interaction so coats, belts and other accessories stay clear of the fighters' legs • Added a CLOTH option to switch between the enhanced behavior and the original Arcade behavior • Reworked Mishima lightning with brighter, thicker and cleaner electric effects • Fixed grey bands and light lines between Arcade backgrounds and floors • Improved Arcade skies and extended stage floors toward the horizon • Fixed scenery starting rotated or off centre after the first round • Fight music now waits until the fight actually appears instead of starting during loading Version 0.4.0 introduced another major set of improvements: • Added the higher detail Tekken 3 Arcade fighter models • Fixed missing and incorrect layers in several Arcade stage backgrounds • Improved Arcade stage panoramas, colours, movement and torch effects • Added REMAKE OPTION directly inside the game • Fixed CPU fights that could stop on missing moves • Fixed knockout sequences that could stop in specific situations • Improved error reporting for unexpected fight states • Fixed Android APK building on Windows • Improved desktop app packaging • Various visual, stability and compatibility fixes based on community reports For this video we play a complete Arcade run with Jin, all the way to his ending, while showing the current state of the DriftEngine version and the new options available directly inside the game. One of the biggest additions in the 0.4.x releases is support for the original Tekken 3 Arcade fighter models. When Arcade data is available, DriftEngine can use the 32 fighter models from the Namco System 12 version. They contain roughly 25% more vertices than the PlayStation models, with the Arcade version's own joint blending, accessories and spring behavior. The Arcade stages also received a major accuracy pass. Their backgrounds and panoramas are laid out using the original board data, with corrected scenery, colours, movement and stage specific details. REMAKE OPTION is now available directly inside the Options menu. From there you can configure: • Fighter models • Textures • Arcade or PS1 stages • Arcade or PS1 fighters • Cloth behavior • Picture quality • Frame rate display • Touch controls The settings are saved on your device, so they also work when playing the desktop or mobile app. The full game remains playable from start to finish, including Arcade, Versus, Team Battle, Time Attack, Survival, Practice, Tekken Force, Tekken Ball, Theater and all endings and unlock progression. Arcade content remains completely optional. The normal game still works from your own Tekken 3 PlayStation disc. Arcade fighters and stages are imported locally from a dump made from your own original Tekken 3 Namco System 12 hardware. No Arcade ROMs, board dumps, extracted files or converted assets are distributed with the repository. Project repository: https://github.com/Emulator000/drifte...
