Amuro's first stage in Official Mode. Official Mode only has 4 characters to choose from, then the rest of this game takes place in Mission Mode which is...well, I'll have plenty of parts to get into that later.
Official Mode are proper DW style stages that play out as you'd expect them to. A lot of the mechanics form DWG1 return such as fields being a thing. Fraw Bow explains most of that so I won't get into it. One of the biggest improvements this game has over the original is that you see a lot more enemies on screen so it's easier to take down fields. The movesets are now almost exactly like DW7 movesets with charges C1-C6 and 3 variations of musous by using them on ground, mid air, or with an ally. No more of that repeating moveset business. Several of the MS in the original game also got upgrades to their movesets to make certain moves more effective, in addition to gaining C5 and C6 attacks. The musous no longer chain into 3-4 different musous, which is sort of a shame, as those were really cool to look at. Now they're much more like DW7 where you do a specific musou depending on how you activate the musou, as mentioned earlier.
Now, as for the stage. It's very much a tutorial stage so it really takes it easy on you here, with just a few fields to take and that's about it. Crown, an officer piloting a Zaku II, will come to attack but he's just an HP sponge for you to wail on. I believe this is the only stage he appears in and doesn't even get to show up in Mission Mode.
After that, a timer will start giving you 5 minutes to finish the stage. Fortunately the commander, Char in his Zaku II Custom, appears and rushes you. Defeating him ends the stage, and it shouldn't take 5 minutes to defeat him anyways.
Also, there's a line in this stage where Amuro speaks with Hayato's voice. It's the only time in the entire game they made a mistake like that which makes it look bad as a first impression, but the dubbing is pretty solid overall. Give or take a few voices. Also keep in mind that this game has even less voice direction than the original, so hardly any of these guys knew what was even going on. That will become veeeeery apparent once we get to Mission Mode.
