Today I'm making a cold process soap inspired by Biscoff cookies and cookie butter!
For this design, I'm using warm caramel and cookie-butter colors, a creamy white top, and handmade cookie-shaped soap embeds. I wanted to create something that captures the look of those delicious little cookies while still making a beautiful, usable bar of soap.
I also used a sugar cookie fragrance in the brown portion of my batter, leaving the cream-colored portions unscented to help keep those colors nice and light.
I hope you enjoy watching this one come together!

*BISCOFF-INSPIRED COLD PROCESS SOAP RECIPE*
Total oil weight: 2,400 g
Superfat: 5%
Water-to-lye ratio: 1.7:1
*OILS & FATS*
Olive Oil — 25% 600 g
Coconut Oil — 25% 600 g
Palm Oil — 25% 600 g
Lard — 15% 360 g
Castor Oil — 5% 120 g

*LYE SOLUTION*
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) — 340.86 g

VineVida Sugar Cookie Fragrance Oil — 24 g
I used fragrance oil at 2% of the oil weight in my brown batter only.
The brown batter contained half of my total oils (1,200 g), so I used 24 g of fragrance oil.
The cream-colored batter was left unscented to help prevent discoloration.
*DESIGN*
A warm cookie-butter-colored base with a contrasting cream swirl, a thin cookie-colored layer, and a creamy top finished with handmade cookie-shaped soap embeds.

*A FEW NOTES*
Always run any soap recipe through your own lye calculator before making it.
Check the manufacturer's recommended usage rate for your specific fragrance oil.
Wear appropriate protective equipment when working with sodium hydroxide, and follow proper cold process soap-making safety procedures.
