ARCOMUSICAL: Berimbau Solo no. 5, "Mô"(2016) by Gregory Beyer

Composed by Arcomusical Artistic Director Gregory Beyer in 2016, Berimbau Solo no. 5, "Mô" was recorded and released on Arcomusical's second album, "Spinning in the Wheel," (2019, National Sawdust Tracks). It is part of a series of solo berimbau compositions that systematically feature the berimbau in different tunings, from a major second (Berimbau Solo no. 1, "Home-ing") to a perfect fifth (Berimbau Solo no. 5, "Mô"). "Mô" is short for Maximo, one of two cats with whom Greg shared residence during his Fulbright Scholar work in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
