Welcome to Road to Illustration- My Path to Becoming a Children’s Book Illustrator

Thank you so much for watching! When I think of my future and my dream career I can’t help but envision a life full of writing and illustrating stories for children. The problem? I’m not an artist. What I mean is that I am not a good enough artist to be published yet. But, I love making art and know it’s a skill I want to develop instead of just sitting around wishing I was born with more talent. So here I am, hoping to use posting on YouTube as a way to stay accountable as I grow in my art skills. And hopefully my willingness to show the not so polished and pretty pieces of art online will encourage you to share your art too! Even if you don’t think it’s ready to be seen.
