The Power of Prayer! | James 5:16-18 | JRK Church Intercession | Nov 1, 2026

THE POWER OF PRAYER: THE EFFECTIVE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS PERSON 📖 Scripture Reference: James 5:16–18 (NIV) 📅 Date: November 1, 2026 ⛪ Church: JRK Church – Jesus the Resurrected King Prayer is more than simply speaking words. It is an expression of our faith, our dependence on God, and our confidence in His power. In our first Intercessory Prayer Gathering following the 14th Anniversary of JRK Church, we were reminded of this powerful truth from James 5:16: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16 (NIV) Through the example of Elijah in James 5:17–18, we are reminded that Elijah was a human being just like us. Yet, when he prayed earnestly, God answered. This reminds us that we do not need to be extraordinary people to experience the power of prayer. We need to have a genuine relationship with God, a heart that trusts Him, and a faith that continues to seek Him. Whatever you may be facing today—family challenges, sickness, financial difficulties, unanswered questions, or personal struggles—never underestimate the power of prayer. God still hears. God is still at work. And we must never stop praying. As we move forward after celebrating 14 years of God’s faithfulness to JRK Church, may we continue to become a praying church, a church that stands together in faith, intercedes for one another, and trusts God in every season. 🙏 JOIN US IN PRAYER!
