Central Biblical Idea: Rahab heard what the LORD had done for Israel, believed that He alone was God, and acted upon that belief. Her story demonstrates that faith takes God at His word and that His grace can reach a person whose background and circumstances might seem to place her beyond hope. Episode Aim: To help listeners see Rahab as Scripture presents her: a Canaanite woman living in Jericho, a woman identified honestly by her sinful past, yet one who heard of the works of Israel’s God, confessed who He was, protected the Israelite spies, and trusted His promise of deliverance. Her story moves from a city awaiting judgment to a place among the people of God and ultimately into the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Primary Scriptures: Joshua 2:1–24; Joshua 6:15–25 Supporting Scriptures: Exodus 15:13–16; Deuteronomy 7:1–6; Joshua 1:1–9; Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25; Matthew 1:5
