Can we win with scuffed dice rolls?

This board was weirddddd - I don't usually play with a middle hex desert so starting first was not an easy spot for me. I decided to prioritize the most scarce resources for my initial placement - knowing that I will not have access to all 5 resources by the time my second settle came around. My opponents didn't pick settles with the player with black pieces, and he ended up with a great setup. I think I made a small mistake with my starting settles that could have drastically impacted the outcome of the match - but hey, "hindsight is 20/20." The game proceeded to punish anyone that was waiting for 6 to roll. The real question is - could we win with the lack of number rolls? You'll have to watch and see!
