United in Grief | Kendrick Lamar | A Kinfigure Production

At Kinmas Kamp we have a class and experience about music videos and dancing for on camera productions. We started this because we wish we would've been able to have experiences like this on a professional set and dancing for professional productions so you could get your feet wet before you go start to try to book these jobs. The experience and knowledge the dancers gained from this class was really so beyond what we could imagine. This entire production is done in 4 hours, learning the choreography, to staging, blocking, and shooting, is all done in that time frame. With that being said the dancers get learn the lesson of making changes on the fly, and picking up quickly, which is so so priceless to be a able to learn something like that in a class setting instead of on a job where time is money :) With that being said, This piece is about Grief and the masks we wear. As humans we go through the 7 stages of grief being shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance and hope & processing , which are represented by our first 7 dancers. In life we all tend to wear mask whether it’s to cover up something we don’t like or something we are insecure in, and most times taking those masks off is a journey. We hope you enjoy :) Produced by: KinFigure (Caleb Brauner & Carly Lawrence) Music by: Kendrick Lamar Starring: The KinFigure Kollective & Attendees of Kinmas Kamp 2022: Changes Directed by: Caleb Brauner & Carly Lawrence Creatively Directed by: Caleb Brauner Choreography: Caleb Brauner & Carly Lawrence Director of Photography: Kevin Medlin 1st AC: Niko Fagan Chief Editor/Colorist: Caleb Brauner Stylist/Wardrobe: Carly Lawrence Unit Still Photographers: Katie Rich & Jason Ly Production Assistants: Janese Manning, Madeline Crandall, Jason Ly, Audrey Quint, Courtney Rowe
