The Real Egyptian Prince Who Stole a Cursed Book From the Dead

Khaemwaset was a real son of Ramesses the Great, a priest who spent his life restoring the tombs of kings who had died a thousand years before him. A thousand years after his own death, Egyptians were telling a very different story about him. In the legend he is Setne Khamwas: a magician who goes down into a tomb at Memphis, plays a board game against a ghost, and takes the Book of Thoth from the dead. This is that story, told from the papyrus, and the real prince behind it.
