Hanagoyomi | The Painter's Garden

制作・撮影・編集：五月女佳織 — A record of the making of “Hanagoyomi” by Nihonga artist Kaori Soutome. Follow the painting as flowers take shape and layers of color build across a gold background, accompanied by the sounds of the studio—ink being ground, brushes, water, and painting dishes. “The Painter’s Garden” is a video series documenting my Nihonga painting process. With no narration or added music, each film shares the gradual unfolding of a painting and the quiet moments surrounding its creation.
