The pilgrimage to the treasure is almost to an end as the third piece of the map is acquired. All that treasure became a prized possession for Blackheart, who briefs the gang to not allow the treasure to be under the hands of Ever After Inc. as they were responsible of his death. However, the gang betrays Captain Silver, by telling him that they need to bring the treasure to Ever After Inc. to earn a promotion in process of getting to the top rank required to get to the real world. Following the betrayal, Captain Silver challenges the gang to a duel that is a challenge exercise to give the party of five a test that bans switching between characters in favor of announcing which two characters to step up. With the Synergy gauge maxed out as the party reached its capacity and with Flynt's buckler, Tinder's firebreath and charging, Wolfgang's lute, Eva's animal wand and Patches' punches, the party of five is more Blue Dragon than Lost Odyssey. I know what I said may be a dumb thing, but see, turn-based RPGs like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon have the party of five and this is something that future turn-based RPGs can have.
