On 30 July 1975, Jimmy Hoffa, the most famous union boss in America, waited in a restaurant parking lot outside Detroit for a meeting that never happened. He was never seen again. In 2025 the FBI said the case is still active and ordered staff to search for Hoffa records; in July 2026 his family asked the FBI director to keep the case open and name names. Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/39us... In No Trace Podcast #18, Julian and Claire follow Hoffa from a Detroit loading dock to the presidency of the Teamsters, his blood feud with Robert Kennedy, prison and Nixon's commutation, and his fight to take the union back. Then the afternoon of 30 July: "TG, 2 p.m., Red Fox", the payphone call, the unlocked car, the maroon Mercury, the FBI's "Hoffex" memo, fifty years of digging, The Irishman, and the files the FBI is releasing now.
