A DAY IN THE VILLAGE BALAT

Balat is a border Village in the west khasi Hills District of Meghalaya. Situated about 90 km away from Shillong Balat lies in the Bangladesh Border and has close trade ties with Bangladesh. Traditional Border Hats are thriving with trade and commerce. The Umngi river also flows through Balat.
