People don’t just choose jobs—they choose places. This session explores how thoughtful community design can support workforce retention by shaping quality of life.
Participants learn how to connect design decisions to workforce trends, align amenities with employer needs, and position community investments as tools for attracting and keeping residents.
This webinar is ideal for community leaders, planners, and economic development professionals looking to link place-making with long-term growth.
Presenter: Cameron Correll, Community Design Manager, Blueprint Kentucky
About the Community Design in Action Series: How communities are designed shapes how people experience everyday life—from getting kids to school to gathering downtown or accessing local services. Community Design in Action is a new monthly webinar series that helps Extension professionals, local leaders, and community partners apply a people-first, family-centered design lens to real community work.
Across multiple sessions, participants will build shared language, explore practical tools, and examine real-world examples grounded in rural and small-town contexts. The series focuses on helping communities make intentional choices that support families, residents, and long-term resilience.
