Polovtsian Dances Introduction - Alexander Borodin *Extended Loop*

This melody is very special to me and sounds magical. Here is a 30 minutes loop of my favorite part as performed by George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra. The painting is "Waiting for the Ferry" by Daniel Knight, painted in 1885 (Heckscher Museum of Art; August Heckscher Collection). I think it goes very well with the music as it makes me think about summer days in the 19th century when farmers were working in the fields, a very frugal life centered around work, family and simple pleasures.
