The Three That Time Forgot is a dark Gothic Americana murder ballad about something buried beneath a family farm — and the shadow that refuses to let it stay forgotten. A man wakes at three in the morning to find a human-shaped shadow beside his bed. He follows it across the farm to a low patch of ground near the pines, where it disappears into the earth. When he returns the next morning and starts digging, he uncovers three sets of human remains. The sheriff later identifies them as three women who disappeared years earlier while hitchhiking through the area. The investigation answers one question but leaves another behind: someone buried all three women on that land. Who did it — and what brought the shadow back after all those years?
