Ride on Nottingham City Transport 641 - YN15 EJA - Alexander Dennis Enviro400 - Shuttle Run

No, I haven’t started vegging in Nottingham. This is a run from this year’s Heritage Bus & Train Spectacular Weekend at Quorn. It’s a Nottingham City Transport Scania N230UD E400 641, which is actually my very first Scanviro, having never been on any of Stagecoach’s (though I did come close in Kent last year). 641 was new to NCT in March 2015 for South Notts service 1 between Nottingham, Clifton, Gotham, East Leake and Loughborough. It remains allocated to the service today, and was recently repainted into a special livery to mark 100 years since South Notts, the Gotham-based company that ran the 1 until it was bought by NCT in the 90s, commenced operation. That’s why it was at Quorn. With Nottingham now joining the electric craze, I imagine these will start getting sold. I’ve never been on a Nottingham City Transport bus before, and it’s safe to say that the interiors are definitely a lot nicer than any of the main operators. I’ve always loved their coloured network branding too.
