This is a review of the Before Tarot and After Tarot decks authored by Corrine Kenner. The decks were published by Lo Scarabeo; the After deck was published in 2022 and the Before Tarot deck was published in 2023. This review discusses both decks, the accompanying guidebooks, and goes through the decks card by card together with the Rider Waite Smith (US Games Systems, Inc 2019 version). Tarotists can use this review to see if the Before Tarot and After Tarot decks are ones that would be of interest for their collection and use. The author, Corrine Kenner is a tarot master and author of more than two dozen books on tarot including the Impressionist Tarot Guidebook, Wizard’s Tarot Guidebook, Tarot for Writers and more. She has a degree in philosophy from California State University and currently lives in Florida. You can find out more about her work at www.corrinekenner.com. Giulia Massaglia, the artist for the After Tarot, is a graduate of the Institute of Art in Turin, Italy, and has her masters degree from the Academia Internationale di Comics in Turin. She has illustrated several tarot decks for Lo Scarabeo such as the Golden Art Nouveau Tarot, Egyptian Art Nouveau Tarot, Mucha Tarot, and the Romantic Tarot. She has also illustrated a number of comic books and graphic novels. You can follow her on Instagram at   / reels   Eon, a.k.a. Joseph Eon Vigloiglia, is one of the artists of the Before Tarot. He was born in Lyon, France and currently resides in Italy. He is an illustrator of comics and graphic novels as well as the Erotic Fantasy Tarot also published by Lo Scarabeo. You can see more of his work at www.artstation.com/eon. Simona Rossi, also an artist of the Before Tarot, is an Italian artist known for her work in graphic design and a more recent segue into illustration. You can see more of her work at https://www.mbartists.com/cgi-bin/iow... Each deck has 78 cards with 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana divided into four suits – wands, cups, swords, and pentacles. The court cards are page, knight, king and queen. The cards are 2 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches, or 6.5 x. 12 cm. They are based on the illustrations of Pamela Coleman Smith in the Rider Waite Smith 1909 tarot deck. Conceptually, the Before Tarot is what happens a moment before the RWS illustration, and the After Tarot is what happens one moment after. This review looks at the three decks cards all together for a comparison. If you are interested in a review of just the original Rider Waite Smith Tarot deck, check out my review at    • Rider Waite Smith Tarot Deck Review  . As a follow up I have a review of the Tarot of the New Vision – what the RWS type cards look like from behind the scene. You can catch that at: This video is followed by a “for whoever needs this” reading; see    • Before and After Tarot Reading - Sands of ...   to see how the cards are used and if they resonate with you. 00:00 Intro: 06:25 The Cards: 26:33 Roses and Thorns
