Romanche Fracture Zone East Dive 8 | SOI Divestream 978 Part 2

This dive will explore a 1 km-long seafloor sector along the 930m depth stratum on the northern ridge within the East RFZ study site. The ROV will explore the seafloor across parallel downslope crests and channels. Characterize the seafloor seascape and biodiversity along the 1-km transect, and collect e-DNA (water and sediments), representative fauna, sediments and rocks. Some target animal groups are: holothurians, cold water corals, sponges and associated fauna.
