ECHOFIELD turns short samples into evolving clouds of sound, shimmering textures, strange loops, ambient soundscapes, and much more. It's a different way to explore the FM-1, built for experimentation and making sounds you might not expect from this little device.
In this video, I'll show you how ECHOFIELD works, explore its different granular modes and performance effects, and take a look at the companion browser app and built-in emulator.
You can even record audio directly from the FM-1 into the app, edit it, and send it back to the device.

ECHOFIELD is free and experimental. Make sure to read the instructions before installing custom firmware, and back up anything you want to keep.

A NOTE ABOUT THE EMULATOR
The emulator builds on the original project published in MusicTribe's repository. I got the existing project working and shared it because others were having trouble getting it running.
Have a go with ECHOFIELD and let me know what you make with it in the comments. I'd also love to hear if you'd like to see a video about how custom firmware like this is made.
