Autumn Rain on Leaves | 1 Hour of Cozy Rain Sounds for Sleeping

Autumn rain sounds for sleeping. One hour of soft, steady rain on maple leaves, oak branches and the fallen leaves below, with slow images of autumn that change gently as the light goes down: no thunder, no music, no voice. Only the rain, from the first second to the last. The Archive of Small Sounds Object: autumn rain, on fallen leaves. Section: Water. Sound: rain on leaves, on branches and on the leaf-covered ground, changing slowly every ten minutes. One hour, no music. Catalogue note This is the first time the archive has kept a season instead of an object. In autumn the rain hardly ever reaches the ground: it lands on leaves. A leaf on a branch takes the drop and lets it go; a leaf on the ground takes it and keeps it. Fallen leaves are the first thing the rain touches under a tree, and they keep the soil from washing away. So before the cold rains come, the trees put a blanket down, one leaf at a time. For this hour you are under it, close to the ground, where everything is soft, while the afternoon slowly turns into evening. This entry has no voice. The Keeper, the archive's synthetic narrator, leaves this one to the rain. Sources Image: video by Allen Y on Pexels — https://www.pexels.com/video/colorful...
