Episode 14: Fence 1, Fondalotti 0

First things first, we couldn't keep our little raccoon trapped up forever. The little guy deserved to run free, so we said our goodbyes and let him go. A rare moment of kindness in an otherwise zombie-filled nightmare. On the survival front, we FINALLY caught a fish and cooked it over the campfire. Actual food! No more seaweed for dinner. We also continued clearing the trailer park, raided the pharmacy, and took on the school. Productive, right? Well, things took a turn when I hit a fence at 50 km/h. My right thigh and hand were absolutely wrecked, requiring glass removal, stitches, disinfectant, and a whole lot of painkillers. Naturally, the car was destroyed... AGAIN. And just when I thought things couldn't get worse, the wounds became infected the next day. Cue antibiotics and the desperate hunt for clean bandages. Between recovering from my spectacular driving failure, learning to knap and carve, and trying not to die from an infected wound, Churrito managed to find himself a pirate hat. Because apparently, surviving the zombie apocalypse isn't enough. We also need to look the part. At this rate, Riverside's zombies aren't going to kill us. Our own decisions will get there first.
