EN - Alison Grace Lujan - The Power of Tattoos

Alison Lujan is a Canadian artist who grew up in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. As a student she took every art class available – from watercolour and oil painting to life drawing and ceramics. After graduating high school and living abroad for six years, she returned to Canada to start her tattoo apprenticeship with Erick Vasquez in 2017. Her area of interest has always been linework and dotwork tattoos, with an emphasis on clean lines and unique placement. Her artwork primarily features animals and plants that inhabit a space somewhere outside the generally accepted version of reality. Alison’s focus is on creating unique and meaningful pieces of art that inspire respect for the natural world and a curiosity about the worlds invisible to us. Learning from her clients and making a connection with each person is the most rewarding part of her practice. Alison operates from a completely private studio setting on an off-grid property near Apex Mountain, BC.
