CMBC Men's Monthly Bible Study September 2026 Priscilla & Aquila Session

This month's Men's Breakfast talk at Cedar Mill Bible Church is on Priscilla and Aquila — a married couple who show up together six times in the New Testament and are never once mentioned apart. We look at who they actually were, what it looked like for them to work as a team through some genuinely hard seasons, and what it means to be truly unified in a marriage. Along the way we get into the harder stuff too — Paul's instructions in Ephesians 5, the cultural world of first-century Rome and Ephesus, and why parts of what the Bible says about marriage can sound so different from how we live now. I try to be upfront throughout about what's research and what's just my own take (for what it's worth, I lean egalitarian — but that's not really the point of this one). The goal isn't to settle a debate. It's to walk away better partners — with our wives, and with the women in our church.
