Jets Lose to Bears 23-12, Fall to 1-3 | Giants Beat Cardinals 36-24, Take NFC East Lead 📱

🏈 JETS REALITY CHECK! 1-3 After Bears Loss | Giants Take NFC East Lead! The New York Jets have been competitive. They've shown improvement from last season. They've fought through games. They can point to several moments where things could have gone differently. But at the quarter pole of the 2026 NFL season, the only number that ultimately matters is sitting next to their name in the standings: 1-3. After Sunday's 23-12 loss to the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, the Jets are once again left searching for answers. The Jets can argue that they should be 2-2 or even 3-1 based on how competitive their first four games have been. But shoulda, coulda and woulda don't count in the NFL. And this loss wasn't nearly as close as the final score suggests. 🟢 JETS GET A REALITY CHECK After three impressive performances from Geno Smith, Sunday was a completely different story. Geno, who entered the game completing 75.5% of his passes, struggled badly against Chicago, finishing just 8-of-15 for 119 yards and one touchdown. His lone touchdown was a 58-yard strike to Isaiah Williams in the fourth quarter, accounting for a huge chunk of his production. The Jets' offense simply couldn't generate enough consistently, and the team never looked like the squad that had shown so much promise during the first three weeks. There was, however, one major defensive milestone worth celebrating. 🏈 THE INTERCEPTION DROUGHT IS FINALLY OVER! Minkah Fitzpatrick finally ended one of the strangest defensive droughts in Jets history when he intercepted Chicago quarterback Bagent in the second quarter. It was the Jets' first interception in 21 games, ending a drought that stretched across 535 passing attempts. The last Jets interception had come from Ashtyn Davis in the 2024 season finale. So yes, there was finally an interception. But the bigger question remains: Are the Jets actually progressing, or are we simply watching another season where the team is “competitive” without actually winning enough games? At 1-3, the Jets are running out of room for excuses. 🔵 GIANTS TAKE CONTROL OF THE NFC EAST! Meanwhile, things are looking VERY different across the New York football landscape. The New York Giants rallied from a 14-3 deficit to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 36-24, improving their record to 3-1. And now? THE GIANTS ARE IN SOLE POSSESSION OF FIRST PLACE IN THE NFC EAST! 🗽🏈 After everything this team has dealt with, the Giants have put together a 3-1 start and suddenly have legitimate momentum. Can they keep it going? Are the Giants for real? And why does the New York football conversation suddenly feel so much better on the blue side of town? 🧂 MIKE STEPH MUST'VE BUMPED HIS HEAD!
