Welcome to the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt 🇪🇬 In this Egypt country vlog I am taking you inside the Giza pyramids complex and showing you everything a first time traveller actually needs to know. This is a complete Giza pyramids tour in Hindi, covering the Great Sphinx, the pyramid ticket price in Egyptian pounds and Indian rupees, and what it genuinely feels like to go inside a pyramid. As an Indian traveller in Egypt I also wanted to show you the honest side of it, the camel and horse touts, the photo scam at the panorama point, and the free air conditioned shuttle buses inside the complex that almost nobody uses. And right at the end I show you my hotel room in Giza which costs around ₹800 a night and has a full pyramid view from the window 😍 Giza and Cairo are two different cities separated by the Nile, and where you stay makes a huge difference to this trip. Most people book a hotel in Cairo and travel thirty to forty minutes each way every morning, arguing with taxi and Uber drivers at both ends. I stayed two minutes from the eastern gate instead, which meant I could reach the pyramids before the crowds and before the heat. The entry ticket for the site is around 700 Egyptian pounds, roughly ₹1300 to ₹1400, and each pyramid has a separate ticket on top of that. I paid 280 more for the Menkaure pyramid, so 980 in total. The Khufu pyramid, the biggest one, costs around 1500 pounds which is about ₹3000. Students get 50 percent off with a valid card. Inside the complex I show you the Great Sphinx up close, which is 73 metres long and 20 metres high and is carved from one single piece of bedrock rather than blocks. I also explain why the pyramids do not look smooth today, why only the Khafre pyramid still has its original limestone casing at the very top, and what the inside of a pyramid is really like once you crawl down that passage in 45 degree heat 😅 At the end of the day I walk around the Giza market outside the gates, drink some fresh sugarcane juice, and eat koshari at a proper local restaurant.
