Republic Services SUNDAY AFTERNOON Recycle Collection W/ Pete 520 McNeilus ZR 2433

2972 broke down on the Saturday after Labor Day, leaving about 2 and a half hours of recycle on the ground. I'd only ever seen Sunday residential collections after strikes, so I assumed that they would make it up 1st thing the following Monday. However, when I was coming home from church that Sunday afternoon, I saw 2433 in this neighborhood and decided to follow until the truck packed out. A couple blocks still got left for Monday as a result. The driver must've come from a recycle route in another area or city prior to this neighborhood, as he didn't start it until the late morning judging by how much route was done when I found him. I've filmed garbage trucks on Sunday morning before, but never Sunday afternoon, making this 1 of, if not the most rare filming circumstance for me up to this point. Thank you to the driver for letting me follow and for the water! Date: September 13, 2026 Copyright 2026 Garbage Truck Videography
