Volume 3. The Next Generation. Finally within your reach. After 8 months of work this passion project is finally done. Breakfast MRK mix serves as the intro for the album and sets up whats to come, and believe me, we're only dipping our feet in with this one. This remix set the bar for vol 3, the aesthetic, expectations, sound... it had so much influence for this project and pointed it in the right direction. I love remixing the VIBE of the song rather than being boring and swapping out instruments. Breathing this 5 year old song new life has been wonderful to do. I shifted genres to a more Y2K aesthetic but with a more modern feel. At the time of production for this song, I was listening to a lot of K-Pop for some reason, most notably Strategy from TWICE. That song was genuinely the best produced thing i've heard last year. The instrumental was perfect. I took a lot of inspo from that song, you can tell with the dramatic string intros especially. As for the sample used in this song, I decided to see what my DAW (Garageband) had to offer and get creative with it. Thats when i stumbled upon a default sample, called Ruby Automatic Vocal. I ended up pitching it up and using it and it worked out so well. I could imagine Mixxie, our Volume 3 mascot singing along to this. Overall i'm still super happy with how this one turned out. I hope you all do to for weeks, months or maybe even years to come. I knew i needed this one to stand out, I mean, i ran out of playable songs to remix. Would people be that interested in the misc remixes like menu music? Well i'll show you with this one. This is only scratching the surface with what Volume 3 has to offer. Breakfast MRK mix makes its debut as the first Vol 3 mix both publicly and internally. It is also the first visualiser I made for the project. Back in November 2025 i made the drafts for this remix, and it feels damn good to have it out now, after so long.
