Working First Crop of Alfalfa 2020 JD 4640 4020 5020 3020

This video shows some of the activities involved in putting up our first crop of alfalfa, 2020. First, we cut the alfalfa with a CaseIH WD2303 windrower/mower. Afterwords, it is left for a few days to dry. Once it's dried sufficiently, we then rake it with a Hesston V-Rake, pulled by a John Deere 4230. After it is raked, we let it dry out a few more days before baling. Baling was done with the John Deere 4640 PowerShift pulling a Hesston 4790 large-square baler. After the hay is baled, we haul it into the sheds. The hauling is done with two loader tractors, a John Deere 4020 PowerShift Diesel, and a John Deere 3020 Diesel. The "haulers" are a Ford F30 with IronBull goose-neck trailer, as well as a John Deere 5020 pulling two old truck wagons (they were originally made out of truck frames).
