Alain Olivier talks about being lured by the RCMP in a drug bust in Thailand

This podcast was made by Prof. Shawn Thompson during an online Zoom session with Alain Olivier, a Canadian who was lured by the RCMP in a drug bust in Thailand and then spent 8 1/2 years in a Thai prison before returning to Canada. The story of Olivier was revealled by Canadian investigative journalist Victor Malarek. Malarek exposed how Olivier was lured to Thailand by the RCMP, a tactic criticized in a suppressed RCMP investigation that was revealled by Malarek when the real RCMP report was leaked to Malarek. Olivier wrote a book about his story called Good Luck Frenchy, published in 2020, which was turned into a film in 2020 called Target Number One.
