Lhakar - Thukjey Katrin M/V

Thukjey Katrin This song is a heartfelt tribute to Lhakar, also known as "White Wednesday," a significant and auspicious day for Tibetans. Lhakar marks the Dalai Lama's "soul day," as it is the day of his birth, making it an important cultural and spiritual occasion. Every Wednesday, Tibetans engage in acts of non-violent resistance, honoring their identity and heritage by supporting Tibetan businesses, speaking the Tibetan language, wearing traditional clothing, and enjoying Tibetan cuisine. Through this song, we celebrate Lhakar and the strength of Tibetan culture. We also pay homage to the vibrant tradition of Tibetan gorshey, a cultural dance that embodies the spirit of unity and resilience. This piece is not just music; it is a call to remember and cherish Tibetan identity, and a way to stand in solidarity with those who continue to resist and fight for the survival of their nation. Join us in celebrating Lhakar and Tibetan culture through this musical journey. #lhakar, #tibetansong #gorshey #newtibetansong #newtibetansong2025 #tibetansong2025 #tibetangorshey #tibetan
