Something happened recently that cracked my world open and made me feel a very painful kind of grief that I have never felt before. I went through the days numb, overwhelmed with the situation and with the things that will now change for me forever. In the midst of all this, it was once again the Handpan that offered me comfort and healing. I just play and somehow these sounds, say the things I can't say. They meet me exactly where I am, whether I'm numb or crying or just... still. It's as if the Handpan provides space for all the mess, all the sadness, without me always having to sort it out. I sometimes don't know if it heals me or just helps me survive - maybe both. But I do know that I am grateful for it in a way I can't fully express.
