So in this video, showcase a little ride I took on a 232 Kite between Brent Cross and St Raphs. Just suttin' light. Admittedly, watching this video back to edit it, not sure if the word "Thrash" accurately described the way the driver was moving, I think I'll just stick with fast. Either way, love the way the motors of these Kites sound when pushed. Very satisfying. Acceleration can be a bit sharp sometimes from idle, though I noticed. Also strange that these buses can move on from a standstill while the rear doors are still closing. That, I found odd. Last thing is that I noticed the Kites didn't have any "Wood Green, Haringey Heartlands" display setting, which is a bit disappointing but glad to see that the 232 had been programmed into these. The buses really do suit and I'm sure we'll continue to see these strays as the WS's are definitely becoming less and less reliable. Seen multiple breakdowns of those myself over the last couple of weeks, likely heat related and now WS141 is VOR so the route may use a few SEe/SEL top-ups here and there, more than usual at least. Hope you like the video! Route 232 runs between St. Raphael's and Wood Green, Haringey Heartlands. The route is operated by GoAhead London, and runs out of their Northumberland Park (NP) Bus Garage. The route was retained on a diesel contract using existing Streetlites for 3 years.
