Lalo: Symphonie espagnole, Op. 21: I. Allegro non troppo | Music Singapore 2026 | 17 July 2026

A special memory of Janice(10) performing the first movement of Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole at the Music Singapore 2026 Competition, where she won 1st Prize in Category C. Behind this seven-minute performance were countless hours of daily practice, perseverance, and hard work alongside her teacher. I’m so proud of Janice for her dedication and grateful to her teacher for the guidance, patience, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. At the gala concert, Janice performed approximately 70% of the same movement after a long day without a proper meal. I wanted to share this competition recording as it captures her more fully prepared performance on the actual competition day. My heartfelt thanks to her teacher for being part of Janice’s musical journey. This achievement belongs not only to Janice, but also to everyone who has guided and supported her along the way. ❤️
