This bard's invitation gives everyone permission to be a little ridiculous. Shared laughter makes it easier to meet someone's eyes, join the singing, and feel at home before the night is over. 🎃 Bring it to a Dungeons & Dragons Liar's Night celebration when your party deserves a memory worth keeping between adventures. There is room here for the shy guest, the terrible dancer, and the friend whose disguise needs explaining. Welcome to Lyra Vesperi. Leave a little louder, a little braver, and with someone new to wave to in the morning. 🎵 Lyrics: On Liar's Night the pumpkin lanterns glow Each candle keeps the truth our masks won't show My tail wears bells, my halo hangs by a string I strum my guitar; the room begins to swing Tonight my horns are hardly worth a stare When every other guest has grown a pair Elves show their fangs, and dwarves unfold bat wings Gnomes hang eleven painted eyes on strings Orcs grow fake claws; the halflings look possessed Each tries to be more dreadful than the rest The children knock for sweets at every door Then trade their tricks and laugh and ask for more Put every worry underneath your cloak And turn the thing you feared into a joke Tonight each guest is welcome through the door So if you're feeling strange, be strange some more Give the dark a fright, let the lanterns glow! Tonight each little monster steals the show! We wear their fangs and gleaming dragon eyes Until our fears look funny in disguise Let the real beasts wait beyond the tavern light Tonight the frightened ones become the fright! The owlbear grows each time I tell the tale Till even seasoned rangers turn quite pale A hidden door becomes a dragon's den And everyone demands I tell it again The timid start to ask what lies ahead As if the unknown promised joy instead Beyond the gate, the wicked lie in wait But here their scariest faces look second-rate Let liches knock; we'll answer with a dare Our smallest skeletons will hardly care Tomorrow may bring danger into sight Tonight we borrow fear and make it bright Let Leira smile beneath a stranger's guise Let Mask find mischief shining in our eyes Tonight no bargains, only treats to trade And every little prank's a joy we've made Give the dark a fright, let the lanterns glow! Tonight each little monster steals the show! We wear their fangs and gleaming dragon eyes Until our fears look funny in disguise Let the real beasts wait beyond the tavern light Tonight the frightened ones become the fright! On other days my horns can draw a stare Tonight the children ask to wear a pair The quiet ones who used to turn away Have found a hundred reasons now to stay By morning, masks will hang beside the door But we'll have twice the friends we had before The real horrors won't vanish with the dawn They'll still be there when all our masks are gone But courage doesn't always need a blade Sometimes it wears the funny mask we made One night won't put the darkness to an end But it can turn a stranger to a friend And when the real ones come to claim the night We'll bring this borrowed laughter to the fight Let every lantern guard its little light Until the last new friend goes home tonight And when we face the world without disguise We'll recognize the courage in our eyes Give the dark a fright, let the lanterns glow! Tonight each little monster steals the show! We wear their fangs and gleaming dragon eyes Until our fears look funny in disguise Let the real beasts wait beyond the tavern light Tonight the frightened ones become the fright! ➡️    • The Tavern • Medieval Folk & Drinking Song...   ➡️    • The Chronicles • Cinematic Vocal & Fantasy...   --- 🎚️ Audio Mix: BandLab 🎨 Visuals: Vizzy + Image 2.0 🎶 Music: Suno AI 📜 Concept & Lyrics: Lyra Vesperi
