Background: Chilaura Haldipur Union is an administrative unit of Jagannathpur Upazila in Sunamganj District of Sylhet Division of Bangladesh. Location and boundaries Raniganj Union is east and south of Chilaura Haldipur Union Parishad, east is Jagannathpur municipality, west is Dirai Upazila, north is Raniganj Union and north is Kalkalia Union. History: Chilaura Haldipur Union Parishad is No. 5 out of the former 09 present 08 unions of Jagannathpur upazila located about 5 kilometers away in the western part of Jagannathpur upazila. Chilaura village was inhabited in ancient times. Jagannathpur's current Chilaura naming took place in the twelfth century. According to some ancient documents, some Tabligh Jamaat people came to this village to invite Islam and they had a chilla of 40 days. From that chilla, Chilaura village was named. At that time, the Pandua kingdom of Peru was located near Jagannathpur. King Vijay Manikya gave shelter to the Brahmins who were expelled from Bengal by the then king of Bengal, Ballal Sen, and about seven hundred Brahmin families in different parts of Pandua kingdom in Jagannathpur along with Manikya Lau. At that time, eight families were sheltered in Chilaura. The place in Chilaura village where eight families lived is known as Att Ghar. [3] which is now known as Attghar Para. This union was established from birth as Haldipur Union. Later, two other Harunur Rashid, Maulana Manowar Alam along with Md. Abdul Ghafu of Chilaura village filed a ret petition in the Bangladesh High Court, in view of the judgment of the High Court, the union took the name of Chilaura Haldipur Union Parishad by adding the name Chilaura to Haldipur. Chilaura Haldipur Union is known as one of the tourist spots due to the natural beauty of Nalua and Moyar Haur. চিলাউড়া মার্কেট হাট বাজার - জগন্নাথপুর : বিডি মিডিয়া হাট বাজার সিরিজের চিলাউড়া হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন বাংলাদেশ রাষ্ট্রের সিলেট বিভাগের সুনামগঞ্জ জেলার অন্তর্গত জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলার একটি প্রশাসনিক ইউনিট। অবস্থান ও সীমানা[সম্পাদনা চিলাউড়া হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের পূর্ব ও দক্ষিণে রানীগঞ্জ ইউনিয়ন পূর্বে জগন্নাথপুর পৌরসভা, পশ্চিমে দিরাই উপজেলা, রানীগঞ্জ ইউনিয়ন উত্তরে কলকলিয়া ইউনিয়ন । ইতিহাস[সম্পাদনা জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলার পশ্চিম অংশে প্রায় ৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলার সাবেক ০৯ টি বর্তমান ০৮ টি ইউনিয়নের মধ্যে ৫ নং চিলাউড়া হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ। চিলাউড়া গ্রামে প্রাচিন কালে লোকবসতি গড়ে উঠেছিল জগন্নাথপুরের বর্তমান চিলাউড়া নামকরণটি আনুমানিক দ্বাদশ শতাব্দীতে হয়েছিল প্রাচীন কিছু নথিপত্র থেকে জানা যায় কিছু তাবলীগ জামাতের লোক ইসলামের দাওয়াত দিতে গিয়ে এই গ্রামে এসেছিলো এবং তাদের ৪০ দিনের একটি চিল্লা ছিল সেই চিল্লা থেকেই চিলাউড়া গ্রাম নামকরণকরা হয়েছিল। সেই সময় জগন্নাথপুর সংলগ্ন পেরুয়া রাজা পান্ডুয়া রাজ্য অবস্থিত ছিল । বঙ্গের সে সময়কার রাজা বল্লাল সেন কর্তৃক বঙ্গ থেকে বিতাড়িত ব্রাহ্মণদেরকে রাজা বিজয় মাণিক্য লাউড় রাজ্য সহ জগন্নাথপুরে পান্ডুয়া রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন স্থানে প্রায় সাতশত বাহ্মণ পরিবারকে আশ্রয় প্রদান করেন । সে সময় চিলাউড়ায় আট পরিবার বাহ্মণ আশ্রিত হন । চিলাউড়া গ্রামের যে স্থানে আট পরিবার বাহ্মণ বাস করতেন সে স্থান আট ঘর নামে পরিচিত হয়।[৩] যাহা এখন আটঘর পাড়া নামে অবহিত হচ্ছে । এ ইউনিয়নটি হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন হিসাবে জন্মলগ্ন থেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা লাভ করে। পরবর্তী কালে চিলাউড়া গ্রামের মো: আব্দুল গফুর সাথে আরও দুজন হারুনুর রশিদ, মাওলানা মনোয়ার আলম বাংলাদেশ হাইকোর্টে রীট পিটিশন করলে, মহামন্য হাইকোর্টের রায়ের প্রেক্ষিতে ইউনিয়নটি হলদিপুরের সাথে চিলাউড়া নাম যুক্তে চিলাউড়া হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ নাম ধারণ করে। চিলাউড়া হলদিপুর ইউনিয়ন নলুয়া ও মইয়ার হাওড়ের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য্যের মধ্যদিয়ে অন্যতম দর্শনীয় স্থান হিসাবে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছে। As always we hope everybody enjoys watching this amazing episode as much as we enjoyed making it & please support the channel by subscribing, Sharing & leaving a comment.
