Roy Blair - Rain

Probably the song that gets me the most in my feels. I love the lyrics of this song so much. In a recent discord listening party/Q&A today, Roy was saying he envisioned the track taking place during a New Year Eve's celebration, especially when you think of those bell sounds as a distant melody. I'm so excited Chasing Moving Trains is out. This track resonates with me on such a personal level. The difficulty I have moving on, the love I have for people long after we breakup, the sadness that always comes up when dwelling on those memories, even after its been so long. The way that 2nd verse is delivered is amazing. Might be one of my favourite songs about ending a relationship. It's sentimental, nostalgic for what was, but stays introspective, acknowledging that it will feel easier to dwell on what was, because it isn't unfamiliar and vulnerable like the new love that is out there. The line that sticks out to me the most is definitely "was there a moment you decided it wouldn't get better" as I've experienced that exact feeling and it is devastating when you still love the person. Anyhow, go check out this album. It's beautifully written, produced, and Roy's lyrics are so honest. I love the way he writes.
