190701 Earl Stahl Spitfire Build and Initial Trimming

Build summary and first day out flying for a 28" span Earl Stahl designed Spitfire built from a Rockytop Models kit. A friend gave me the kit with the fuselage and fin mostly assembled. Hope to fly this one in the Battle of Britain memorial mass launch at the FAC Non-Nats, July 2019. Done in markings of Richard Hardy's Spitfire Mk.1a, forced down in France in August 1940. Pilot Officer Hardy became a POW and survived the war. The Germans repaired the aircraft and flew it to evaluate performance compared to their fighters.
