FX Impact M4 vs Delta Force DRS Pro — 175 meters, one serious long-range showdown.
Two very different FX platforms. One extreme distance. And a simple question:
Which one can perform best at 175 meters?
And there's an extra challenge: both rifles are shooting .177 calibre (4.5 mm).
I start at 100 yards to make sure both rifles are properly set up before pushing the distance out to 175 meters.
The first challenge is a 9 x 16 cm steel tube that gives a very satisfying ping when hit. Each rifle gets five shots, and the score is simply based on how many hits we can get.
Then it's time for the real accuracy test.
I shoot four 5-shot groups with each rifle at 175 meters to find out whether these rifles can produce groups that are actually meaningful at this kind of distance.
And the results are surprisingly close.
The FX Impact M4 produces a best group of just 4.4 cm, while the Delta Force DRS Pro proves that it can compete at a level that I honestly didn't expect to see at this distance.
Considering that the Impact M4 has long been the king of long-range performance in my collection, the DRS Pro putting up this kind of fight is quite an achievement.
There's also an important piece of news in this video: FX has discontinued production of the STX Superior Slug Liner, and I explain what that means and what I'm using instead.
So which rifle takes the title of Gun of the Match?
You'll have to watch to find out. 😉
