This puppy was brought to the clinic after her owner had already removed several mangoworms that morning. However, during a careful full-body examination, we discovered that 18 larvae were still hidden beneath the skin. The puppy was sedated under veterinary supervision so the remaining larvae could be removed calmly and the affected areas properly cleaned. I also explained what these larvae are, how infestation occurs, the necessary aftercare and practical ways to help prevent another infestation.
