Galaxy Watch 3 45 mm LTE Unboxing, Setup and Review

Hey guys! This week I'm finally unboxing my Galaxy Watch 3. I ordered it almost 2 months ago and had it sitting while I waited for the band to show up. Unfortunately due to supply chain issues my band was delayed for a fourth time by Samsung. To make matters worse, I had to send in my old watch because of the trade in deadline. Luckily the old band from my Gear S3 seems to fit! This is another very long video. Please use the time stamps at the end of the description to scroll through to what you need. Final Grade: B- Honestly I was expecting more, but this is the same thing as my Gear S3 from 4 years ago. Sure, it's got updated hardware, but the hardware was never the problem. The problem was the SEVERE lack of apps. There is absolutely NO Google apps for Tizen. It's not too big of a deal if you're using this watch with your phone. In which case you can often respond to notifications like texts and you can control music (as long as it's already playing on your phone). But if you were thinking about using this watch as a standalone, you will have to seriously consider what you are willing to put up with and how many work arounds can you find to fill the gaps. The worst part of it? It's way too expensive. It's ridiculously expensive. It's offensively expensive. It's priced to take on the Apple watch while offering half the functionality. Can it be a good watch? Absolutely. Despite no app support, it offers the best hardware on the Android side. The things it can do, it actually handles pretty well. Samsung has cleverly made it seem that this watch has app support by mirroring notifications from your phone, so a lot of people won't even notice. The main thing really is the price. Please don't ever pay full price for this. I got this watch for $86 after trading my Gear S3. For that price, I'm not even mad. I understand that this is the best case scenario, but if you can get this watch for less than $200, it can be a decent buy. Also, if you're wondering if you should upgrade your Gear S3 the answer is: no, not unless your gear is falling apart. This watch does little to remedy the issues since the Gear S3.
