Fulani Herdsmen Kidnapped My Brother and I. They Demanded ₦50 Million for Our Release

A man shares how a normal trip home suddenly turned into a kidnapping nightmare. He and his brother had travelled from Abuja to Enugu to spend time with their 73-year-old father and help with some work at home. According to them, later that night, armed men appeared around their relatives’ compound and kidnapped both brothers. They were taken into the forest and moved from place to place while their kidnappers demanded ₦50 million from their family. In this interview, they explain what happened that night, what they experienced inside the forest, the threats they faced, the attempts to find them and how they eventually survived the ordeal.
