Admittedly, this track is more rock than orchestral (perhaps it should've been labeled orchestral rock?), but hopefully you folks will forgive me for being misleading. That said, I was rather surprised that 豊田竜行 was able to take Rigid Paradise so far away from the Egyptian-sounding tunes of the original. In some ways, it sounds like a completely different song! The change in instruments from the original was certainly a big factor in that. In form, it's almost like a classical concerto, with the solo instrument, the electric guitar, contrasting and 'battling' for musical space against the rest of the orchestra. Of course, it's not quite the same thing as a proper concerto, but hey, the music's awesome, and I'm not complaining! Enjoy!
