The Tasting Menu | Album Review | Sampha - Lahai

On today's episode of The Tasting Menu, we're making notes and listening to a record that will stand the test of time, Sampha's Lahai. With such a big gap between this album and his debut, a hunger was allowed to build, that I think left many chomping at the bit when singles and news of this release started to hit the streets. Such growth and maturity present on this album. It's full-bodied and caters to many emotional notes while also being something that is a joy to sing and dance along to. The Tasting Menu is a short form program where I reflect on things that bring me joy, put thoughts about those things on wax, and maybe have a lil dialog between things I wouldn’t normally think to connect.
