Tracks 1-4 originate from the Там, где вечная смерть demo. Tracks 5-6 are taken from the Rooted to Death split. Closing the compilation is "Rehearsal Recording 2016", a previously unreleased rehearsal demo capturing ALTWALD in its most unfiltered form. The compilation also includes "Kaldrad", a tribute to Boris Podsoblyayev, the influential founder of the Russian black metal circle BlazeBirth Hall. "Ancient Fire Of War" serves as a document of ALTWALD's early years, preserving recordings that embody the spirit and atmosphere of the Russian underground black metal tradition.
